今天一時衝動由ports 將 php 4.3.7 更新到 4.3.8
在安裝的時候才發現套件選單不見了，只剩下三個選項
Options for mod_php4 4.3.8_1,1
APACHE2 Use apache 2.x instead of apache 1.3.x
DEBUG Enable debug
IPV6 Enable ipv6 support
真糟糕，連 mysql 都不能連了，目前這種情況還能降回
4.3.7 的版本嗎？或者在 4.3.8 也可以使用和 4.3.7
的套件選單？

因為 php 大爆炸
現在有 /usr/ports/UPDATING 可以看囉

The old lang/php4 and lang/php5 ports have been splitted into \'base\' PHP,
PEAR, and shared extensions to allow more flexibility and add new features.
Upgrading your current PHP installation will result in a \'base\' PHP
installation (no PEAR and no extensions).
PEAR can be found in the new devel/php4-pear and devel/php5-pear ports, while
the set of PHP extensions to install can be choosen via the meta-ports
lang/php4-extensions and lang/php5-extensions, or installing singular
extensions individually.

因為php 的 ports 有比較大的改變
如果你使用php4
你在mod_php4中安裝的只有基本的php4
請到 lang/php4-extensions 中再繼續裝其他的module套件吧
安裝完後請記得把這些module的path加到php.ini中
比如
extension_dir = \"/usr/local/lib/php/20040412-debug/\"
這樣才能使用extesion的module

要命的是，automake 只認 perl-5.8.2

這問題我遇過
use.perl port 重跑下一次就好了
因為他會在 make.conf 紀錄 PERL_VER
